LOST DESKTOP IN UBUNTU AFTER APPLYING COMPIZ EFFECT

In order to recover from lost desktop in ubuntu 11.10 .We just need to press Alt+ctrl+t then the terminal opens up and just type in there........
  
unity --reset 

then log out and log in again ..u will b with ur desktop
